SUSUMU was started from the founder’s personal project
of reusing scraps of awning fabric from her family business.
She occasionally helped her family business
while she was working in London as a fashion designer , and realized
considerable amount of awning fabric pieces were thrown away
due to the various needs of fabric sizes at the construction sites.

The idea of SUSUMU was started from there.

The label branched out to various products with the goal of creating sustainable and desirable home and fashion items.

With meaning of the name being two waters coming to dance together
in Hanja, Chinese in Korean pronunciation,
SUSUMU 수수무 水水舞 wants to stay environmentally friendly
and bring joy to people’s daily lives.
